Investment Criteria

Newport Diversified Ventures is interested in businesses that compete in markets that are undergoing change - change created by industry trends, economic cycles, or specific company conditions.

NDV seeks companies that have a wide moat protecting their business from exogenous factors such as industry price pressure and labor issues. We prefer industries with high barriers to entry.

NDV generally invests in companies with the following characteristics:

Revenue. $3 million to $20 million.

EBITDA. $750,000 to $5 million with a minimum of 20% margins.

Industry. NDV is agnostic regarding industries, but we prefer service-based businesses where there is clear opportunity for scale. Instead of pursuing specific industries, we mitigate risk through different product lines, large customer and supplier bases, and diversified revenue streams.

Geographic Market. Western United States.

Key Characteristic. Significant growth potential and/or ability to generate outstanding cash flow.
